First, I’d like to say that I’ll from now on will try to keep my blog posts in English, even though the rest of my website (currently) is in Swedish. I know that a very very good friend, not very much into Swedish, reads my blog – so I want to make it more accessible…

It has, again, been quite some time since I took time to write a proper blog post, which have totally logical reasons. Firstly, I’ve had way to much to do the last weeks; teaching, taking a course, organizing a conference, building a website for said conference, creating a poster for said conference, and in the middle of everything try to perform concerning my research at work… To have time for ”a normal life” in the middle of it all has basically been impossible.

Secondly, I’ve had to much stuff going on inside my head to be able to sit down and type something comprehensible. There’s been all kinds of emotional turmoil during the past months (and it haven’t yet settled), but I will not go into details concerning this now (or probably ever, at least not on my blog).

Now I’d like to look forward instead! All the emotions are not all that bad actually, I feel that I’ll soon be able to write at least one totally new song – a feeling I’ve missed for quite some time. The inspiration is just flowing! All I have to do now is to channel it into 3-5 minutes of music and then write some suitable lyrics for it. Shouldn’t be THAT hard – but as always it’ll take time that I don’t have. Perhaps during my vacation in July-August, but I certainly hope that I will find time sooner than that.

Another thing worth mentioning again and again is how wonderful true friendship is. I’ve experienced that for a while now, that there actually is a person who are a pure and true friend, whom probably and hopefully always will be by my side no matter what happens. I certainly will be at her’s. Too bad though that she lives far away from here, but a distance is never farther away than one makes it. As long as telephones and the Internet exists we’ll be close anyway! Thank you for being there, dear <3

Furthermore I have sort of rediscovered Scorpions! For quite some time I’ve just thought about them as ”the group who gave out Wind of Change”, but they’re so much more! The record ”Humanity – Hour 1” is so insanely great, and especially the song The Future Never Dies (which I posted here recently). I’ve been listening to it for many days now, and it just keeps growing and growing! I want to write a song like that – I know that I can (if I may type that, sounds rather… ego…)!

Tonight it’s time for the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest – the biggest music event during the entire year! Too bad though that Sweden and Anna Bergendahl did not make it through the semi final. But probably Europe thought the song’s too boring or something, which I couldn’t agree to at all, since I think it’s a really good ballad. However, there is many ballads competing this year, and eastern Europe probably didn’t prioritize our Swedish blonde singer/songwriter girl. Better luck next year, Sweden! I will most probably write at least one song and send in – always fun to try!

That’s all folks for today, stay tuned for another blog post in a future not to far away – which never dies…

Jonas, signing off – for now…
